Phase 3
The key steps in phase 3 are:
• implementing the legal structure;
• coordinating consultants;
• negotiating with parties;
• problem solving.
The purpose of this stage is to ensure the project will be successfully implemented by exploiting the synergies generated by the interaction of all the players. The aim is for the company to start its new business or run new operations on time.
The key to completing the project on time is a constant flow of information among all the team members. A delay in the setting up of the structure means a loss for our client. The most detailed project plans, schedules and budgets are not enough to guarantee success in China. Inconsistent, incomplete, and often inappropriate modalities of communication (people do not always speak the "technical" language in remote places of China) can adversely impact the success of a project.
To ensure effective communication, we carry on regular reviews of the plan - solving potential issues on time and taking corrective action. We use specific project management computer based tools that allow us to organize deliverables, chair weekly project meetings and conference calls, and maintain extremely effective communication throughout the whole project. The aim is not just to look back at what has been done, but also to ensure that potential problems are avoided or anticipated. Finally, we prepare weekly reports to accurately record the progress of the project.
